What is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)?

A Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) is a licensed healthcare professional who has completed rigorous training and certification to provide therapeutic massage treatments. In the province of British Columbia, College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC) amalgamates the regulation of professional Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, Naturopathic Physicians, and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists. Some RMTs are members of provincial associations, ensuring that they meet high standards of practice, ethics, and ongoing education.

RMTs are trained in various therapeutic techniques, including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy, among others. Our RMTs work with you to develop a treatment plan that addresses your specific health concerns.
